On November 10, 2024, New Jersey enacted a new wage transparency law. Beginning June 1, 2025, employers with 10 or more employees must include wage ranges and benefits in job postings.

Applies to employers with 10+ employees

  1. Job postings must include:

    • Wage ranges

    • General description of benefits

  2. Employers must also make reasonable efforts to inform existing employees of opportunities for promotion

  3. Fines: up to $600 per violation

Employers in New Jersey should review job posting practices and update internal promotion communications before June 1, 2025.
